Menmuir's Prehistory
Menmuir is rich in Archaeological sites, the most famous of which are the Brown and White Caterthuns, prominent Iron Age Hillforts. We also have three much older cup marked stones, various cairns and from more recent times Pictish carved stones. We are currently working with Angus Council to get photographs of the Pictish stones for the website. They are currently housed in Pictavia near Brechin.
