MILL OF BLACKHALL Mill of Blackhall (a Grade 2 listed building) was built in the sixteenth century, using the warm red sandstone typical of the area. Extended in the seventeenth century, it has now been converted into a house which retains features of previous eras, including the waterwheel. Exposed beams, arched doorways and traditional flagstones, combined with period furniture, oriental rugs, timber floors and views over fields to a small trout stream, create a setting of character for a relaxing holiday close to numerous attractions. Sleeps 6/8. From £350 p.w. |
